Starting from today, registered mail that is send by us will no longer be sent with regular stamps and a piece of paper that represents the registration code. This was the normal way of processing registered items through the Indonesian postal service Pos Indonesia.
They have, however, changed their way of processing registered mail to a more modern and internationally accepted standard. They will issue a registration number for each item sent. That number can now be traced on the internet as well, which was not the case with the old registration numbers. This will greatly improve tracking services for you as a customer.
But there is a negative side to this improvement as well. Starting from today, all registered mail will no longer be send with recently issued stamps, as they can not be used anymore to sent registered mail. There is - at this moment - no option to pay the postal fees with stamps, but only by cash.
Non-registered mail will still be sent with recently issued stamps however. Upon request, you as a buyer will receive the registration code, so you can track your shipment online.
